It is a beautiful sunny morning here at Gilchrist Park in downtown Punta Gorda, Florida. It is a classic “ Chamber of Commerce Day”. A bright sky and a light breeze flows in over Charlotte Harbor and the Peace river.
Bruce Hardenberg and his lovely wife of 60 years Barbara have happily consented to an interview for the local Sun Newspaper as long as the questions are directed to Bruce while Barbara lends support and a winning smile.
Bruce requested that the interview be conducted by his favorite local DJ Chuck Bristol while our friendly reporter Rusty will write the article.

In the background you can here the tennis balls and “pickle” balls being batted back and forth on the many courts here. It is a beautiful park one of many parks the city of Punta Gorda provides.
Chuck is an old school straight shooter who has been in the business for ages now. Chuck has seen some great changes in the music industry and on a personal level is no stranger to conducting interviews. In Bruce’s words Chuck is a guy to be respected and for me I can truly relate to on a personal level.
Bruce and Barb were recently publicly recognized by the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce for their somewhat unique success in the real estate area of business. The uniqueness comes from the fact that Bruce really didn’t get started in the business until he was 78 years of age and as Bruce says Barbara at a younger age.
[Chuck} First off let me thank you for selecting me to do this interview I’m honored. Second Congratulations on your recent formal recognition by the Chamber of Commerce and even more so on your success in the business world and your personal life gains.
{Bruce} Hey Buddy you are welcome. I have always enjoyed your show , your style that great warm humor and all those great nostalgic trips going back in your life experiences. Even some of those that were a little short on some of the details (chuckle in the background and a grin from Chuck). You have my respect for sharing with your audience some of your personal accomplishments.
{Chuck} Thanks again that means a lot to me but hey this interview is about you not me. So Bruce what’s the story here?
You starting in your business at an age where so many are content to take life easy?
[Bruce] I remember well pretty this life for me stared to change and come alive. It was in September 2018. We were at a point in our life where we had to make some decisions we really didn’t look forward to. More than likely we were going to be forced to move and our options were limited pretty much controlled by cash or a shortage thereof.
[Chuck] So what was it that helped you through the decision making process?
[Bruce] Well small inexplicable signs, things had been leading me to certain point which made me very curious and wondering if these signs were happening for a reason a good reason?
[Chuck] Can you tell us what that point or signs were?
[Bruce] Yes very briefly I was being led to learn more about the Bible and about Christ. Don’t get nervous this is not going to be a sermon (smiles). I am Christian but not an outwardly active practicing Christian. So when seemingly all of a sudden I find myself reading “ The Book “ That’s the readable version of the bible and a couple of other books centered around Christ or at least a religious theme it made me ask is this a sign a message.
[Chuck] Maybe you were just curious and started to read this type of material is that possible?
[Bruce] Sure it’s possible but I know now it wasn’t. It was the way it happened the suddenness of it. I am an avid reader of novels mystery action that sort of theme sometimes 2 or 3 books a week. Now suddenly there is this new theme and absolutely no desire to read these novels just my new- found interest. I mean the thought of reading the old stuff just did not cross my mind.
[Chuck] So where did this lead or what happened next.
[Bruce] I had called an acquaintance who I consider to be a friend we just are not in regular contact with each other. We had met through a potential business program we both were exploring. That was over 9 years ago. It was just a call to see what was happening in his life and how he was doing and so on. Now I know it was unknowingly a call I was led to make.
[Chuck] So how was he getting along and the connection to what was going on in your life?
[Bruce] He is doing just fine and involved with a few business adventures that are going nicely and others with great potential. I let him know I was looking for something and let me know more about what he’s involved with and so on. A couple of weeks later I get an email from him the only message was Hey Bruce you may want to check this out and it’s FREE.
[Chuck] When I see free a red flag goes up how bout you?
[Bruce] Sure “no free lunches in life” right. Well I checked it out and WOW here we are as a result of that.
The free program turned out to be a God send literally. It is a very exhilarating mind probing program. It is formulated to have yourself get in touch with your inner-self and realize there is a whole world within where you reside. You realize you can be whatever you will yourself to be, details to follow next interview, smile ,chuckle. What you realize is that you get back what you give but you must first give it and it comes back many fold and the whole giving is a mental process of cause and effect.
[Chuck] Hey just a tad more about how the program is set up I realize if we covered all the details we will be here when the sun sets although that wouldn’t be to bad as long as I get lunch.
[Bruce] I will give you the basics. I checked it out and was offered a scholarship into this awesome program that runs for 26 weeks and you are active in everyday for 26 weeks. A lot of tangible weekly work and a lot of honor system mental work I mean a lot of work but enjoyable and constantly rewarding work.
[Chuck] And this was free to you?
[Bruce] Yes and that is a major part of this whole thing. It was free to me because somebody before me paid for me to be able to participate in the program. It has to be very costly to provide. We have personal guides we have multiple live seminars ( Webinars). The point is the PIF concept Pay It Forward you get back many fold what you give first. “Just do it try it yourself Chuck.”
[Chuck] So what happened and where are you now in the whole life process?
[Bruce] Mentally I am on top of the world basically a Superman. No fears no worries. I wake up in the morning glowing rested eager. I have formed an amazing harmonious real estate investment team. My personal holding have gone from zero to now I am worth millions and have a monthly income that is just beyond what I could have dreamed of back when.
We have a beautiful home here in wonderful Punta Gorda it is wanting for nothing. We are blessed with excellent health and wonderful children.
We are able to contribute generously to organizations and people. Some of which are very personal and very close to us.
We have the freedom and liberty to enjoy lots of time with our family and Barb and I travel in comfort where we desire.We are enjoying sporting events seeing our great country and even some foreign spots.
Barb and I give thanks to our creator continuously for our wealth we celebrate with smiles hugs and tears of joy. We have been blessed with our Nirvana and pray all others find theirs.
